Yuletide Mariner and Yuletide Mariner 2

The wallhangings seen here were developed as a Christmas piece for my family. Santa’s list includes the names of all of my children and nieces/nephews. The smaller version was requested by my students as a more manageable project that would fit in their home.

Yuletide Mariner measures 46” x 59”. The compass star is paper pieced for ease of construction. The pattern includes full size sheets that can easily be adapted to machine appliqué techniques, though the instructions are geared to hand appliqué.

Yuletide Mariner 2 measures 24” x 32”. The compass star is omitted and replaced with star fabric.
